  Connecting to a USB Device

  You can connect a USB device or cable to the projector's USB-A port to project images from the device. Use the USB cable supplied with the device.

  Note: Do not connect a USB hub or a USB cable longer than 9.8 feet (3 m), or the device may not operate correctly.

  Make sure the USB device meets the following requirements:

  • The device must be a USB flash drive, USB hard drive, or a digital camera or smartphone.
  • Digital cameras and smartphones must be USB-mounted devices (not TWAIN-compliant) and must be USB Mass Storage Class compliant.
  • USB hard drives must be USB Mass Storage Class compliant (not all compliant devices are supported), formatted in FAT16/32, self-powered by their own AC power supplies (bus-powered drives are not recommended), and should not have multiple partitions.
  1. If your USB device came with an AC adapter, plug the device into an electrical outlet.
  2. Connect the USB device or cable to the projector's USB-A port.
     
     
  3. If you connected a USB cable, connect the other end to the USB device as necessary.
  The projector displays images stored on the USB device.

  If you turned on the Content Playback setting in the Settings menu, you can only view images that have been added to a playlist created in Epson Projector Content Manager.

  Connecting to a Streaming Media Player

  You can connect a streaming media player to the projector. By connecting the streaming media player's power supply USB cable, you can power the streaming media player from the projector.
  1. Connect the streaming media player to an HDMI port.
     
     
  2. If necessary, connect the streaming media player's power supply USB cable to the DC Out (2.0A) port. Connect the other end of the cable to the USB port on the streaming media player.
     
     

     Note: To keep supplying power to the optional streaming media player when the projector is not projecting images, select Always On as the USB Power setting in the projector's Extended menu.

  Connecting to a Document Camera

  You can connect a document camera to your projector to project images from the camera.

  Note: The connection method varies depending on your document camera model. For additional features supported by software, connect your document camera to your computer using the camera's USB port instead of connecting the camera to the projector. See the document camera manual for details.
