Using Google Cast
Your projector has Google Cast, allowing you to cast content from Chromecast-enabled apps.- Connect your device or computer to the same wireless network as the projector.
- Open the Chromecast-enabled app and press the Cast button.
- Select your projector from the list of devices.
Note: By default, the name of the projector is EPSON Projector. To select another name or use a custom name, press the settings button on the remote control and select System > About > Device name.
The app connects and starts casting to the projector. - To stop casting, press the Cast button in the app and choose the disconnect option.
Connecting to an HDMI Video Source
If your video source has an HDMI port, you can connect it to the projector using an HDMI cable. The video source's sound is output to the projector's speaker.Note: If the port on the connected device has an unusual shape, use the cable supplied with the device or a optional cable to connect the device.
Note: Some video devices are capable of outputting different types of signals. See your video device manual to confirm what type of signals can be output.
CAUTION:
Do not turn on the video source before connecting it to the projector; otherwise, you may damage the projector.- Connect one end of an HDMI cable to your video source's HDMI port.
- Connect the other end of the HDMI cable to the projector's HDMI (ARC) port.
Connecting to a Computer Using HDMI
If your computer has an HDMI port, you can connect it to the projector using an HDMI cable.- Connect one end of an HDMI cable to your computer's HDMI port.
- Connect the other end of the HDMI cable to the projector's HDMI (ARC) port.
Connecting to a USB Device
You can connect a USB device or cable to the projector's USB-A port to project images from the device. Use the USB cable supplied with the device.Note: Do not connect a USB hub or a USB cable longer than 9.8 feet (3 m), or the device may not operate correctly.
Make sure the USB device meets the following requirements:
- The device must be a USB flash drive, USB hard drive, a digital camera, or a microphone.
- The USB-A port is not guaranteed to operate all devices that support USB.
- You may need an app to project content from your USB device.
- USB hard drives must be USB Mass Storage Class compliant (not all compliant devices are supported); formatted in FAT16/32; self-powered by their own AC power supplies (bus powered drives are not recommended); and should not have mulitple partitions.
- If your USB device came with an AC adapter, plug the device into an electrical outlet.
- Connect the USB device or cable to the projector's USB-A port.
- Connect the other end to the USB device as necessary.
