Part of my image is blurred or out of focus. What should I do?

• Try the following:

  • Press the AF button on the remote.
  • Make sure the camera head is at least 2 inches (5 cm) away from the object you are viewing.
  • If the surroundings are dark and the contrast in the projected image is low, the product's auto focus may not work correctly. Adjust Brightness and/or Contrast in the Image menu.
  • Adjust the image focus if the document has detailed patterns, such as horizontal stripes or checkered patterns, place a different document under the camera lens to adjust the focus.
  • If you are using a projector to display the image, adjust the projector's focus.
  • Make sure the product (or projector's) lens is clean. Use lens cleaning tissue to remove any dirt or smears, if necessary. For stubborn dirt, moisten a soft cloth with lens cleaner and gently wipe the lens surface.

    Caution:
    Be careful not to scratch the lens. Never rub the lens with abrasive materials.

  • Make sure the lens is not fogged by condensation. To avoid condensation on the lens after bringing the document camera or projector in from a cold environment, let the product warm up to room temperature before using it.
  • Try adjusting the zoom magnification.
  • If you project a standard image, make sure the camera is not in Microscope mode.
  • Try reducing the zoom magnification. If the zoom is too high, the focus point may be out of the angle of view.
  • If the subject is a three-dimensional object, the following will make it easier to bring it into focus.
    • Use a uniformly colored object the size of an A3 page or larger as the background for the three-dimensional object.
    • Before you place the three-dimensional object in position, focus first on the position where the object will be placed.
