Is there a trial version of ActivInspire software available?

Yes. Promethean offers two software versions; the Personal Edition and the Professional Edition.
The Personal Edition is free but has limited features.
The Professional Edition offers all the features and you get a 60-day free trial before it reverts to the Personal Edition.
