How do I know if I'm using a 32-bit or 64-bit edition of Windows 8?

• To find out which Windows 8 edition you're using, do the following:
  1. While holding the Windows Key on your keyboard, press the W key.
     
  2. Type edition in the search box and press the Enter key on your key board, or click Show which operating system your computer is running.
     
  3. Your Windows 8 edition will be displayed in the System type section of the System window.
