Rated 1 out of 5 by from Awful experience About a year after purchasing it, with very light use, the feeder stopped working. It chews up the document as it tries unsuccessfully to feed it. Waste of money.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Excellent Scanner - for a while This scanner did an excellent job, until lines started to show up - vertical lines in several different places. I cleaned everything that could be cleaned with no improvement. Ended up having to purchase another scanner because the quality was not acceptable

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Glitchy I have had my scanner for about two months. Now, it stops scanning in the middle of a page, won't turn off, and won't cancel. I have to unplug it to turn it off - then, it won't turn back on. I can find no help anywhere online with my problem. Couple that with foreign support (support should always be in the country of the caller to avoid language barrier issues), and you've got a VERY dissatisfied customer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just bought second one - for wife Bought first GT-1500 several years ago. It has worked perfectly - still does. Paper feed is great even on sheets that are somewhat crumpled or had been stapled. Yes, you can scan a document that was printed on both sides ( to a PDF file) and make the pages fall in correct page number sequence - this is an easy (but not intuitive) 3 step process. Use auto doc feeder to scan all odd pages 1,3,5, etc then select "Add Page" in the pop-up window. Turn the document over and use auto doc feeder to scan even pages 6,4,2, . Click on "edit" in the GT-1500 pop-up window, click on the icon "12345.." and the pages will be put in the correct 123456 sequence when saved. Ignore the small numbers shown below the sheet icons after each scan.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from No luck Purchased this scanner over a year ago, but only installed it today. Right off the bat, it won't work, but none of the troubleshooting options has solved the problem. Also, after installing software from CD, my Outlook email quit working, so I had to restore computer's settings, thereby uninstalling scanner software. Am lost, and have no idea what to do, so I cannot offer a positive review--or a negative one, honestly, because I have been unable to try the scanner out.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from GT-1500 scanner Great scanner - replaces an Epson 4180 that finally gave up the ghost after a decade. 90 degree cover opening is nice, doc feeder is great. Downsides: there is no "home corner" to snug originals up against, you must align them in the center or you won't get an entire edge scanned. Also, the Epson Scan software won't let me select a paper size when using the ADF in "Professional" mode -- it scans as though it's an 8.5 x 14 legal document. Works OK in "Office" mode though.
