Rated 5 out of 5 by from High Quality I bought this printer to replace my Epson R1900 which was beginning to have problems, yet was no longer supported with utility updates. Setup of the P600 was automatic and painless. The print quality is as good as if not better than the 1900, though I have not yet checked out printing in larger sizes. My only complaint is that almost two months have passed by and I still have not received the promised rebates.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Honest appraisal I have only had this unit for 1 month and haven't yet tried it out on many of my projects. For the duties I used it on, it has executed beautiful prints. It is a bit tricky to set up and get use to. It is definitely not plug in and play.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Review Am reserving the selection of 5 star for when I have had the printer for a longer period of time. I am primarily using this on matte paper. Must remember to always specify "matte" in the print setup...if not, it automatically switches to photo black...which eats up the photo black ink. Other than that I am pleased.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Better Instructions I think that you could give better detailed instructions as to how to prime the inks. I have owned three other Epson printers and this one was the most difficult to prime.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from excellent color production I bought this printer to replace an Epson R2000 which stopped working. The P600 loads thick art paper easier. My only complaint is the changing of black inks that takes a lot of time and uses too much ink in the process. In that respect it looks like the printer is going to be a real ink hog.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Trouble Free Out of the Box Installed the printer and printed error free the first time. It's nice not have to struggle to get it going. This printer was easier to use then the 3880 printer that it replaced.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great picture quality I have the Epson Stylus Photo 2200 which is on its last legs and it had to be replaced. The SureColor P600 is highly recommended so I decided to purchase one. If you are going to switch between the Photo Black and the Matte Black, be prepared to buy additional Photo Black cartridges because switching between the two uses a ton of Photo Black but not as much from Photo Black to Matte Black. But what does one do if you do not use Matte black, is it still used when printing on glossy paper or semi gloss paper? Will the Matte Black have to be replaced once the cartridge date expires or will the printer still function? Except for this one concern I am very pleased with the quality of the printer and the photos it prints.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Epson SC P600 Rocks! I ordered this printer about a month ago for the sole purpose of doing my own prints from home and this printer does the job to near perfection

2 Ink used in conversion varies based on temperature, humidity and other factors.

3 Cartridge yields vary considerably for reasons including images printed, print settings, temperature and humidity. Yields may be lower when printing infrequently or predominantly with one ink color. A variable amount of ink remains in the cartridge after the "replace cartridge" signal. Part of the ink from the first cartridges is used for priming the printer. Ink is used for both printing and print head maintenance. All inks are used for both black and color printing.
