Setting Up Your Projector to Use Apple AirPlay

To use your Epson projector with AirPlay, you must first update its firmware.

See your projector’s Quick Setup poster to complete initial setup. When you are done with the "Adjust the image" section of the poster, follow the instructions below.

Note:

  • Your product's screens may differ from the screens shown below, but the steps are the same, unless otherwise noted.
  • The steps below describe the over-the-air (OTA) firmware update method. You can also download the firmware file from your product’s support page and update the firmware with a USB flash drive. See your product’s User’s Guide for instructions.
  1. Press the Menu button on the remote control.
  2. Use the arrow and Left-pointing curved arrow, commonly used to indicate an Enter or Return key symbol. buttons to select the Network menu.

  3. Select Wireless LAN Power and select On.
  4. Select Firmware Update Set. and select Notify.
  5. Select Network Configuration > Wireless LAN.

  6. Select Simple AP and make sure Simple AP is off.
  7. Press the Esc button and then select Search Access Point.

    The projector searches for wireless networks.
     
  8. Select your wireless network from the list.
  9. Use the displayed keyboard to enter the password, if necessary.
  10. Select IP Settings and set your IP settings, as necessary.
  11. Select Complete and then select Yes to save your network settings.

    Note
    : If the Web Control password has not been sent, a message appears asking if you want to set a password. If you want to set it, select Yes and then follow the on-screen instructions. Otherwise, select No.
     
  12. Press the Menu button to exit.
  13. Wait until the system prompts you with an available firmware update.
  14. Select Yes and then follow the on-screen instructions.

    The first update may take a few minutes. When the update is complete, the projector restarts.
     
  15. Wait until the system prompts you with the second available firmware update.
  16. Select Yes and then follow the on-screen instructions.

    The second update may take a few minutes. When the update is complete, the projector turns off.
     
  17. Turn on the projector.
  18. Select the AirPlay input source from the projector's Home screen or press the Wireless button on the remote control until the AirPlay source is shown.

  19. Select AirPlay and HomeKit Settings.
  20. Make sure AirPlay is enabled and change any other settings, as desired.

Your projector is ready for use with AirPlay.
