Notice of Data Security Incident

Epson Portland Inc. and its affiliated companies, including Epson El Paso Inc. (collectively “the Company”), is notifying certain individuals of a recent data security incident that may have involved their personal information.

On or about April 29, 2022, the Company identified a data security incident that resulted in the potential compromise of a portion of its IT environment. In response, among other things, the Company immediately retained an IT firm to conduct a thorough forensic investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident. The IT firm also assisted in the remediation of the Company’s system, including eliminating the vulnerability that was used by the unauthorized actor and implementing additional security measures. While the Company maintains personal information for business and legal purposes, based upon the investigation, as of the date of publishing of this substitute notice, there is no direct evidence of any compromise or misuse of personal information.

Because the Company values its relationship with its employees, employees’ dependents, contractors, and site visitors, the Company is proactively providing notice, in an abundance of caution, so that potentially impacted individuals may diligently monitor their accounts. The Company is also providing individuals whose information may be involved with complimentary credit monitoring and identity theft protection services through Cyberscout.

The Company takes its commitment to protecting personal information very seriously and regrets any concern or inconvenience this incident may cause. To help prevent a similar incident from occurring again, the Company is implementing additional security measures. Individuals with questions can contact the Cyberscout call center at 1-844-522-0185 from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm ET, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.
