Rated 4 out of 5 by from Machine works well. Instructions are pointless Scans photos well. Enhancements once set allow for restoration, brightness, clarity. What isn't so great is the operations manual. Epson is so busy covering its legal backside, they left out the cataloging and movement of pictures to another folder or location.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great~ I've been wanting to organize my photos for the past decade and this scanner is awesome. Super easy to download the software and super-fast to scan. The quality is good. I'm excited to throw away those big bulky photo albums from the past.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVE this scanner! I LOVE this scanner. It is slick, quick, and reliable. My only concern is that customer service doesn't answer the phone anymore. I don't need help often, but when I do....! For this price, service should be available.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Epson is in denial I have seen a lot of reviews that have enthusiastically recommended this scanner. I would too, though I have also seen a lot of reviews pointing out scratch lines that happen down the center of an image while the image is scanned. Glossy photos are the worst as any aberration that comes in contact with the shiny surface leaves either fingerprints or scratches. I started scanning and I noticed a couple of faint scratch lines on every image I scanned. If these were negatives, I would have stopped scanning right away, but the prints I was scanning were simply to use as references so I wasn't as concerned. However, I hunted inside the scanner to find the problem. I've cleaned it constantly and nothing has helped. The same scratches have persisted. The plastic sheet provided for special projects has been used several times and there are two distinct scratch lines embedded in the surface. I included an image of the page. When I have looked for a solution, there are several people who have experienced the same thing. Epson's response is usually a reference to a video about how to clean the scanner. A super-basic, non-troubleshooting video. Sometimes there is also a pdf user manual provided. Really? There are enough people out there who have experienced the same problem and Epson's response has always been that it is our fault by indicating we need to clean our scanner better. I'm sure Epson knows how to fix this. That would help. I have done a lot of hunting for a reason photos were being scratched. It looks like the grey guide between the rollers that are exposed when photos are scanned could be the source of the scratches. It is about the same width. The guide I'm referring to is at the point of the pen I'm using to point to it. I have felt for an edge on it and I cannot find a reason that guide would scratch photos, but it's the only thing in the scanner that matches the location and width of the scratches of everything that enters the scanner. If I could figure out how to keep scratch lines from appearing in my scanned images, the scanner is a true winner. It's a great idea and could be a great scanner. I know there are people who have gotten scanners that don't scratch images from the happy reviews posted here, on Amazon, and wherever. This review is not happy. I'm looking for a solution.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super Fast and Easy to Use! Very Happy with My Purchase I bought this before I moved to a new house. My plan was to scan all the paperwork we stashed all over so we could shred the hard copies. It took a few minutes to figure out how to use it. I found that it didn't accept pages that were torn or crumpled, but by inserting them into the scanning sheets they went through with no problem. It was so, so easy and so fast! Scanning all these documents saved me carting around piles of files. Now they are safely stored and easy to retrieve on my computer and backup thumb drive.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Unable to connect to WIFI Well, setup is not easy! I have the latest router from Comcast Xfinity and because it does not have a WPA button, I'm screwed. Back to the old USB I guess. I'd expect after paying $600 for this darned thing that it would have the latest and greatest technology. Apparently not.
