Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great & Simple Photos and Documents Scanner I am impressed with the performance of the Epson FastFoto FF-680W Wireless scanner. It is quite fast, robust, easy to use. It is a true value for money. I was able to convert my 30 years old dimmed and faded photos to bright ones which refreshed my memories and made my family excited about our old traveling and trips.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fast and efficient photo scanner! I bought this scanner a few weeks ago and have already scanned thousands of photos! I am scanning at 600 dpi, tiff files and each photo takes about two seconds, and that includes scanning the back of the photos where I had written names and dates! I still have thousands more photos to scan, but this scanner makes the process easy and fast. No regrets purchasing this unit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exceeds all expectations As a scanner for over twenty years, I have never used a product that delivers the goods as promised like this scanner does. The speed and accuracy are remarkable. Like all scanned photos, if you are a perfectionist as I am, you know in advance that nearly all scanned photos will require tweaking to get the best results. The solution to the problem of the amount of work required to scan the photos to get them into your PC has been solved by this machine. I highly recommend it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from My Review - Epson FastFoto FF-680W I bought this scanner becasue I had an enormous number of old photos to scan and individual scans would have been inpossible. It does deliver high quality, but not excellent scans. I have not yet used it for documents. The feeder is excellent. Having said that, it was extemely difficult to set it up for wireless operation. The instructions were dated with older names of the apps that were needed. The instructions were inadequate. Once I used the direct connect to my laptop, the wirelss set-up went flawlessly. Epson should have explained this. The addition of more photo editing options would be a big enhancemnt as well as more choices for the file archetecture. Overall, a very good scanner although a bit on the priey side.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent scans I've scanned about 3000 old photos and am completely satisfied. The speed is great and having the back of the picture at the same time is wonderful. The machine is easy to set up and using it is very simple,

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Quality Scanner with Poor Mac Software I bought this to bulk scan all of my family photos. I was very happy with my test scans and the majority of my archival scans. Unfortunately, there are numerous bugs in the Mac version of the software that basically make the scanner unusable for all but the most dedicated users. The software spools GBs of tmp files which can quickly fill your entire HD with .TIF files. The only way to manage is to either reboot your computer every couple of hundred scans or to manually clear the hidden folder in /private/var/folders/pt/2drwwq391ng1hcqyw286_pkm0000gp/T/com.epson.* area. Additionally, the software randomly stops processing files after scanning- also requiring a periodic reboot after approximately 100+ scans. There are some nice features like scan problem detection which can find smears, dust, and other problems that can corrupt your scans. The scan speed is also very fast, but precessing can take large amounts of time where you cannot continue scanning. Overall, this is a nice scanner that could really use some attention by the Dev team on the awful software that accompanies it. Your mileage may vary.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Horrible Connection Experience Connecting this scanner for use over Wi-Fi was a pain, took over an hour, after numerous failed connection attempts, we were finally able to get it connected. A similar Brother scanner purchased for use in another office connected over Wi-Fi seamlessly without issue the first time in minutes. Now lets see if the scanner will stay online.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I am so glad i bought this scanner! We have over 30 photo albums and every time we evacuate for a hurricane, I leave those precious photos behind. Now I don't have to worry - this scanner was easy to set up, easy to use and so fast! I am thrilled with it.
