Rated 3 out of 5 by from Forget the WiFi connection I chose this photo scanner because I read the reviews and it sounded like the right one for me. Unfortunately I am unable to connect it to my WiFi because my Netgear (Orbi) router does not separate the 2.4 GHZ from the 5 G. The scanner will only connect to the WiFi using a separate 2.4 band. I learned this after spending hours with Epson, Spectrum, Netgear and paid a systems consultant. I decided to keep the scanner and use it with the USB connection. Very disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super fast, clean, sharp pictures in high resolution I bought this scanner 2 weeks ago and WOW is it fast and easy to use. I use the highest resolution 1,200 DPI and my pictures come out great. I am scanning thousands of family pictures and I love the feature that gives you 2 pictures - one original and one adjusted by the machine, which is generally better than the original picture. I have scanned 2,000 pictures so far (1,000 yesterday), and no problems with dust showing on the pictures at all. What a huge advance over flat bed scanners!!!!! I am super pleased! Paul Herr

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very easy to use After laboring with an HP scanner trying to get my photos organized, I opted for the Epson FF-680W. Quite an improvement. I am impressed with the setup instructions, operational structure and ease of use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing I thought the photos would never be saved and decided to try it anyway, all I have to say is “ Amazing “ they probably haven’t looked that good since they were first developed. All different sizes from 3x3-5x4 with no problem and with out using the sheet insert that came with it . I can’t wait to really start using it for the good photos.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Everything I expected and More This scans both pictures and documents quickly and efficiently. I did find that I wanted to put information in on each photo I scanned, which did slow down the process, but there is really no way of getting around that. I am scanning family photo's and it is important for me to gather all the information for each photo and keep it together to preserve the history. Love this product!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Has a purpose...quality isn’t it. I had high hopes for this scanner and the results are mixed. This scanner definitely has a purpose and that is blazing fast scans. Unfortunately you have to sacrifice a lot of quality for the speed. For me it was to much quality degradation for me to accept. I returned it shortly after purchase. If you simply want to preserve a copy of pictures and reproduction quality isn’t at the top of your list this scanner will burn through boxes of pictures in no time at all. If you want a quality scan without disappointingly obvious poor scan quality this scanner is not for you. I really wish Epson would develop a scanner with the ease of use of this scanner with the quality of a flatbed. The ability to load a stack of photos and come back in an hour (at a flatbed scan rate) and have high quality scans vs constantly loading photo after photo would be a game changer for those of us who demand quality scans.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazingly FAST - both side copied at the same time Bought this a few months ago and thought I would need years to scan all our family photos from the 1950s. Thousands of photos, with small writing on the backsides. TWO DAYS COMPLETED! The auto correction to make old faded photos look good again works perfectly. We are 10000000000% happy with this purchase. Epson did an awesome job with this device.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Loving this! I bought this to scan and share old family photos. Had to get help downloading the correct software but it was a breeze once I was pointed in the right direction. Just using it for the first time but it is suiper fast scanning and the test photos are beautiful.

Epson FastFoto FF-680W Review from KCTV Better Kansas City

“When everything is going wrong, and you’re trying to get out, a lot of times one of the first things people grab are their pictures – Epson makes this dynamic scanner that scans one picture per second, so you can have it all organized.”
